Supported Taxes and Customs Duties (WooCommerce)

Read this topic to understand the types of transactions that ePAL can help you with.

Whether a transactions is Business-to-Business (B2B) or Business-to-Customer (B2C), domestic or cross-border can all affect the applicable tax rate (in addition to other factors) and any customs duty.

The following table lists the types of transactions that ePAL covers and how it treats them from a tax and pricing perspective:

Cross-Border B2C for EU-based sellers Ship To country. Yes (if applicable) Tax inclusive and exclusive. Allows you to pay tax on sales to customers in the EU where their country is different to your own (as the seller). Buyers do not provide Tax IDs as they are not businesses.
Cross-Border B2B 0% (reverse charge) Yes (if applicable) Tax exclusive Allows you to pay tax on sales to businesses in the EU where their country is different to your own (as the seller). Buyers must provide Tax IDs to prove they are a business.
Domestic B2C Seller's domestic VAT rate No Tax inclusive and exclusive. Allows you to pay tax on sales to customers in the EU where their country is the same as your own (as the seller). Buyers do not provide Tax IDs as they are not businesses.
Domestic B2B 0% (reverse charge) or the standard domestic rate. No Tax exclusive Allows you to pay tax on sales to businesses in the EU where their country is the same as your own (as the seller). Buyers must provide Tax IDs to prove they are a business.
